What a gem this restaurant is. Excellent quality dishes with Italian and Mediterranean influences. Has a coffee and pastry shop attached. No real wine list but you can bring your own bottle. Lovely salad bar. The chef came out to greet each table.

We had a party of 6 for dinner during busy sewanee parents weekend.. our service, meal and atmosphere were all absolutely amazing! The antipasta bar is by far the best Mediterranean salad bar I've ever had! All our entrees were fresh, delicious and arrived hot! Our server was so attentive. We received a piece of cheesecake on the house and wow! Dessert was the perfect icing on the cake of a delightful culinary experience. We will be back and also tell our friends of this fabulous place. Thank you Cynthia and your team! Leslie Aclin

Excellent and sophisticated restaurant. Highly recommend a reservation. They don't serve alcohol, but you can bring your own. I got the chef's special, which was excellent. We had a reservation for 15 people, and our server. Joe was excellent. We did have one person in our group that is always particular and has been known to send their food back to be remade multiple times. They made a special request and were pleased with it and surprisingly did not have anything sent back! They have gluten-free dessert options. One thing I would like to point out is that the cobbler does have strawberries in it so if you have a strawberry allergy I would avoid that. It wasn't specifically stated on the menu but we did inquire about it someone at our table had a severe allergy. When we were told that it did have strawberries in it, we encouraged them to update the menu so that people are aware.

Updated 6/29/25 - came back for Sunday brunch, and it was fabulous! The service and atmosphere were spot on. -------------------------- We really enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Pearl's. The antipasto salad bar had a nice variety, including olives, goat cheese, marinated peppers, artichokes, beets, feta and greens. My red snapper was delicious, especially the lobster sauce. We'll come back again to try other menu options. There are lots of Mediterranean dishes on the menu. They don't sell alcohol, but you can bring your own wine.

Stopped in for a solo brunch. Great buzz from a full dining room. The staff was so welcoming, suggesting menu items and making me feel welcome. It literally feels homey since it was a converted home. I throughly enjoyed the salad bars roasted veggies and shrimp cocktail. Didn’t have room for the included waffle and omelette bar but they smelled delish. Tucked away location, but well worth the trip if you’re near Sewanee.

Exceptional food- fabulous staff - an absolutely superb experience. My husband said it was the best steak he’s had in Tennessee. The flavors were delightful and the portions were well-sized. The antipasto bar was clean, well stocked, and well kept. A gem of a restaurant and we are thrilled to have found it.

What a lovely brunch experience at La Bella Pearl! The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful — classy but comfortable, the kind of place you can sit back, sip your coffee, and just enjoy the moment. The staff was so friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right from start to finish. The made-to-order waffles and omelets were out of this world — fresh, light, and full of flavor. You can really tell they take pride in what they serve. Every plate that came out looked picture-perfect. If you’re looking for a spot that combines upscale dining with warm Southern hospitality, La Bella Pearl is it. Beautiful setting, top-notch food, and service that makes you feel right at home.
